Temple
Overview:
Back to the
good old fashion levels! Temple is exactly (well, not exactly)
the same as it was in GoldenEye 007, and is as fun as ever. Some
players don't like this map because of it's large size and all
the wide open chambers, but I disagree and say that it's GOOD
because of that!

Points Of Interest:

This is one of the
main rooms in Temple. It has three exits that you have to
cover and you have to worry about bullets coming from
above. A new thing about Temple in Perfect Dark is the
ability for players to jump down from above, so watch out
for that too! A strategy that many players use here is to
shoot a few explosives and then quickly switch to an
automatic to finish them off! |
 |
This are is not
nearly as important as it was in GoldenEye 007. Actually,
you probably want to avoid this area. In GoldenEye 007
this was where the body armor was and the place where you
wanted to camp. Now if you camp here all you'll get is a
slot three weapon and you'll probably end up trapped in
the dead-end corridor! |
 |
This pillars make
this room much more interesting. Instead of running for
cover behind the walls you can now stay and hang out
behind pillars! |
 |
During a team game
this is a great place to get your opponents trapped in.
Try to get them to follow you into here, then simple wait
for them to turn the corner. Once they do, have your
teammate waiting right behind you for the double team to
kill them! Even if you are not playing teams, if you are
loaded don't be afraid to hang out here! |
 |
One unusual thing
about this level is that the slot one weapon slots are
placed in out of the way places! We're not complaining... |
 |
If you don't fully
know temple yet and you get lost, make sure to look
around at the walls that look different. There are many
doors that are cleverly hidden in the walls! |
 |
You can cover
three different angles of this main room if you are in
this position. Make sure to look up every now and
then for snipers and be ready to ambush the people that
fall through the hole. |
 |
When you are
playing a scenario that needs good defense (such as
Capture the Briefcase), set yourself up so that you and
your teammate can get a good grasp on this room. The hole
is an easy place to locate enemies and also is a good
escape route. |
